Fundraising, Donations, and Neutrality Policy

Commitment to Neutrality

The National Society for Education, Mentoring, and Media (NSEMM) upholds a non-partisan stance, dedicated to providing services to individuals irrespective of their political, ideological, or religious beliefs. NSEMM expects all tutors and staff members to maintain neutrality regarding political, ideological, and religious matters while operating within an NSEMM environment.

Political and Ideological Neutrality

  • Endorsement Policy: NSEMM refrains from endorsing or opposing any candidate for public office and abstains from making contributions to political campaigns or action committees.
  • Lobbying Activities: NSEMM does not engage in lobbying activities that would necessitate registration under local laws and regulations. However, the organization may conduct educational initiatives to enlighten the public about topics related to its mission, such as hosting public forums or creating educational materials on education, mentoring, and media.
  • Advocacy: NSEMM may undertake advocacy endeavors aligned with its mission and goals, provided they do not constitute lobbying or partisan political activity. For instance, NSEMM may advocate for or against ballot measures concerning education, mentoring, or media.

Diversity, Inclusion, and View Neutrality

  • Encouragement of Expression: NSEMM promotes diversity, inclusion, and viewpoint neutrality. Students are encouraged to freely express their views and opinions without the fear of reprisal or discrimination from their tutors.
  • Training and Support: NSEMM provides comprehensive training and support to tutors on matters related to diversity, inclusion, and maintaining viewpoint neutrality to foster a conducive learning environment for all individuals.

In addition to the above, NSEMM adheres to the following principles:

  1. Respect: NSEMM tutors should respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of their students.
  2. Professionalism: NSEMM tutors should maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
  3. Accountability: NSEMM tutors should be accountable for their actions and uphold the highest standards of conduct.

NSEMM believes these principles are essential to providing high-quality educational services to all individuals, regardless of their political, ideological, or religious views.
